You Are Here is a short film about a girl who is spending life waiting on a promise that was never made, and she must make a choice between what she wants and what she needs. It was written by Alex Calleros in November of 2010 based on seven constraints given to him by Michael Tucker. It was Alex’s task to take these seven constraints (which you can read on the You Are Here film page) and turn them into a short film. After several drafts, the screenplay was finished and we began shooting in March 2011. You Are Here is a good example of how a set of constraints can inspire the creation of an entire film.
