Constraints Are In! Time to Vote!

Hey everyone!

Today is the first day of voting for FF02! You get to decide which constraints are going to define our next film–and there are some good ones this month. From a character slowly descending into madness, to vacuuming naked, to an actor having to act a scene with people unaware of and unaffiliated with the movie. The choice is yours. The challenge of turning all of these into a movie will be mine–and I’m both excited and terrified.

As a reminder, to vote you have to sign in on the right sidebar. Follow the big yellow arrow on the vote page to find where to click.

A quick update: Stealing Time is on its way to being wrapped! All the VFX are done, and now it’s just a matter of finishing the color correction, sound design, and music. It releases one week from today, July 1st!

The script for FF01 is nearing completion, and we plan to start shooting it the first week of July.

So go vote on constraints, submit a few, watch our latest production diary, and if you haven’t yet, check out our first film You Are Here!

Stealing Time Is Coming

Hi Everyone,

As you can see in our last couple production diaries, shooting our second launch film Stealing Time was no easy feat. It’s actually one of the most complicated, ambitious movies we’ve ever tackled–just keeping track of continuity in a movie about time travel is a full time job (thanks to Sophie Green and Adele Watkin for being on top of that). Here’s some of our exhausted cast & crew looking remarkably happy after a non-stop 4-day shoot over Memorial Day weekend:

While the shoot was grueling and required some incredibly long hours, cutting the whole thing together afterwards was a BLAST. I have to say, this is probably the most “fun” movie I’ve ever had the pleasure of directing. I’m really excited for the premiere on July 1 to hear what you all think of it.

Our First Constraints Are In

Hey gang, Ryan here,

It’s June 2nd; Summer is already here! We just premiered You Are Here, wrapped Stealing Time, and voting has closed on our first set of user-submitted constraints that will determine FF01 (our numerical moniker-system for films that don’t have an official title yet), which I will be directing, and will premiere August 1st. I know that was a mouth-full, but I think that’s fitting considering how busy all of us at Finite Films have already been. What I’ve mostly been busy with up until now has been editing our weekly video production diaries, which I hope everyone has been enjoying.
