Hi Everyone!
You may have noticed it’s been a while since we’ve checked in. That’s because ever since you helped us reach our Anamnesis Kickstarter goal on New Year’s Eve, we’ve been working non-stop to make this web series a reality.
In January, we wrapped pre-production, which included locking down dozens of locations across Southern California and planning out every single shot of our ambitious shoot (during which we filmed 4 episodes simultaneously, often completely out-of-order).
In February, production on Anamnesis began. After a whopping 24 days of shooting, we’re in the home stretch: 10 more days to go! All the while we’ve been posting daily behind-the-scenes pictures on our Facebook page, and just released a new Anamnesis Production Diary, which you can check out below:
In April, the real challenge (and fun) begins: putting it all together in post-production. We’ll keep you posted as we start cutting together the episodes, mixing the sound, crafting the visual effects, coloring the picture, and scoring the music. In some ways, the bulk of the work is still to come: on a project like Anamnesis, so much of the story is shaped and perfected in post-production.
As this project has developed, we’ve come to realize we’re effectively making a feature film, split into four parts. The scope of the whole thing is rather massive, and we think it’s going to be unlike any other web series out there. We still have weeks and weeks of work ahead of us before this thing is finished, but to give you a little sample of what’s to come, check out these stills from the footage we’ve shot:
You can also check out the First Look Teaser we released last month if you haven’t already.
Thanks again for all your support—we’re so excited about the series and can’t wait to share it with you!
